Our German funder African Social Investment Fund (ASIF) has submitted the African Briquet Factory as an example of out-of-box-thinking. We are proud to report that we made it under the last 5 finalists in the category “thought leaders” (Vordenker). On November 16th, the winners will be awarded.
Serveral media have been covering our inauguration. One article also appeared in an English speaking business magazine, called Capital. The editor quoted Tewolde Berhan G/Egziaber, Director General of Federal Environment Protection Authority: “The building of these factories is an important step towards bringing awareness about protecting the environment as well as giving a choice”.
